Saskatoon's Pulse 2011

For the third year in a row, Global News, in partnership with Ipsos Reid, completed a survey across Canada to examine regional attitudes and issues. From taxes, the economy and local politics – to investment and safety – Saskatonians responded to the issues that matter most to them.
Did you know that 94% of Saskatonians feel that their community is a great place to live? Of all the cities surveyed, Saskatoon received the highest ranking.
91% of Saskatonians say Saskatoon is also a great place to raise a family, and the majority of residents (89%) say Saskatoon is a great place to invest.
While few residents are concerned about the local economy, there are some areas in which residents feel Saskatoon could improve; 31% said infrastructure, like roads and bridges, is their number one concern and another 18% claimed that crime is the most important issue facing the community.
